Breaking a Sweat Without Breaking the Bank

Getting fit in the city can be a fun but expensive lifestyle, but in the downtown Toronto Queen West neighbourhood it doesn’t have to be! Sure, you can work your way from studio intro week to intro week in order to save a dime, but there is another option available. A number of stores and studios are now offering free classes which will have you working up a sweat everyday of the week (except Friday).

Here’s a list of a few that will have you breaking a sweat without breaking the bank. Whether you’re running, riding, burning up with burpees, or getting your ‘om’ on – these stores and studios will have you’re covered at no cost!

Monday:

UrbanEdge Boot Camp: Queen st. Lululemon: 6-7pm (check out the UrbanEdge website for more info)

Learn to Ride Clinic: MEC: 6-7pm (every other Mon starting July 16th)

Tuesday:

Yoga: Queen st. Lululemon: 8-9pm

Women Only Run Club: MEC: 6-7pm

Wednesday:

5km Run Club: Queen st. Lululemon: 6-7pm

Open Ride: MEC: 6-8pm (road bike required)

Natural Running Clinic: MEC: 6-7pm

Basic Bike Maintenance Clinic: MEC: 12-1pm (every other Wed starting July4th)

Run Club: Running Room Commerce Court: 6pm

Run Club: Nike: 6pm (meet Trinity Bellwoods park)

Thursday:

Basic Bike Maintenance Clinic: MEC: 6-7pm (every other Thurs starting July 12)

Run Club: Lululemon Eaton Centre: 6:30-7:30pm

Friday:

Saturday:

5km, 8km, 10km Run Club: Queen st. Lululemon: 9am (meet on the NW corner of Queen and University)

Run Club: MEC: 9:30-10:30am

Yoga Unplugged: 889Yoga & Lululemon at Thompson Hotel: 4-5pm or 7-8pm (check website for times)

Sunday:

Yoga in the Park: Lululemon: 10-11am (location is either Trinity Bellwoods park OR Stanley Park, check the facebook group for details)

Women Only Ride: MEC: 9:30-11:30am (road bike required)

Run Club: Running Room Commerce Court: 8:30am
